At Safety Training Solutions, we deliver the Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) multiple times throughout the year at our training centre in Dingwall, just 15 minutes drive from Inverness. Alternatively, we can deliver this on site in the Highlands & Islands or anywhere across Scotland.

This course introduces Site Supervisors to their legal responsibilities regarding health, safety, welfare and environmental issues.

Course Content

Health & Safety Law, including CDM Regulations
Health & Safety management systems, risk assessments and method statements
Statutory inspections and checks, reporting accidents, injuries and ill health
Leadership and worker engagement
Health & Welfare of the workforce, first aid and emergency procedures
COSHH, Asbestos, Dust, Fumes, Noise and Vibration and Manual Handling
Site set up and security, fire prevention and control, electrical safety, temporary works and plant and work equipment
Lifting operations and equipment, working at height and excavations
Underground and overhead services and confined spaces
Multiple Choice Examination

CITB Levy Payers will receive a payment of £140 upon completion of this course.

If you already hold a valid SSSTS certificiate and you wish to renew this, then you will just have to complete an SSSTS Refresher course.
