Key responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the management of Modern Apprenticeships programme
  • Managing candidate’s financial claims and working in line with budgets
  • Sending employer reports on candidate’s progress
  • Quality control compliance
  • Milestone achievement records
  • Inputting candidates’ data onto the relevant systems

Required skill set:

  • Ability to work efficiently to deadlines
  • Must have good IT Skills and be competent with Microsoft Excel
  • Good telephone etiquette
  • Ability to work under pressure

Desired skills:

  • previous experience in finance

POSITION TYPE: Full Time (Part-time considered)

35 hours per week

32 days holiday (includes mandatory and bank holidays)

Salary commensurate with experience.

Safety Training Solutions based in Dingwall are currently recruiting for a Health & Safety Instructor/Assessor in the Construction Industry to join their rapidly expanding team. The candidate must be available to travel to various sites throughout the Highlands on a regular basis.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Deliver a range of training courses i.e. IOSH, Manual Handling, SMSTS, SSSTS, Confined Spaces, Asbestos Awareness etc.
  • Ensure all appropriate administrative procedures relating to course enrolment and certification are followed correctly
  • Acquire and develop the necessary knowledge and skills to conduct the training and to ensure that the understanding of the area of expertise is always at the highest possible level
  • Ensure all training is carried out efficiently and safety procedures are being adhered to
  • Ensure all of the in-house quality procedures are correctly followed
  • Help to develop courses in order to to meet company and clients’ requirements
  • Work closely with the Managing Director and the Operations Director
  • Build and maintain excellent client relationships by always going the extra mile
  • Assist with the development of new training materials
  • Prepare materials in advance to ensure smooth course delivery

Qualifications and Skills

Qualifications / training

  • NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or Construction
  • a vast experience as a health and safety practitioner
  • Education and Training Award Level 3
  • A1 or 9DI Assessor Award or equivalent
  • A current SMSTS Certificate
  • Sound understanding of health and safety across multiple industries
  • IOSH member

Further Requirements:

  • Previous success in a training role ( especially health and safety training delivery)
  • Previous construction site manager experience
  • Highly organised individual who is able to manage their own time and take direction
  • Communicates clearly across all platforms, is engaging and can speak to anyone at all levels
  • Attention to detail
  • Likes learning and can learn quickly
